campus Nurse

Hello! My name is Cassie Hollier and this is my 6th year in school nursing.       I have been a Registered Nurse for the past 13 years, and prior to school nursing I worked in ICU and Home Health Care nursing. It is a true joy for me to care for your precious children here at Port Neches Primary. I will always act in the best interest of the child and treat/respond to them how I would respond to my own children.  Thank you for trusting me to care for your child, please reach out to me with any questions or concerns on how we can better care for the safety and well being of 'our' kids here at PNP.

District Nurse

My name is Shannon Burnett. I am so blessed to work in the same school district I attended from KG - 12th grade. I am married to my middle school sweetheart who also graduated from PNG, and we have 2 beautiful children that are proud PNG Indians as well! It has been an amazing opportunity to be the campus nurse at the elementary school with them (first at Ridgewood and now at Port Neches Primary).

I went to Stephen F. Austin for 2 years, and then transferred to Lamar University, graduating with my BS-RN in 2011.  (Nurse Hollier and I actually graduated from PNG and Lamar University together!)  The first 7 years of my career were in critical care (ICU, cardiac rehab, and cardiac diagnostics).

I have been a school nurse since 2019, and I absolutely love it. Being a school nurse provides a unique opportunity to be a part of the lives of the people in our community.  After years of tertiary care, I have realized that my heart is with primary prevention. I love teaching about health and wellness, and attribute much of my passion to the eye-opening encounters I saw working in ICU.

I am so thankful for this opportunity and will try my hardest to provide the best care to our students, staff, and families. The highlight of my day is to see my current students or students from previous years out in public, and they run to give me a hug! Please feel free to call me if you have any questions or concerns at all.
